If you are interested in therapy services, the first step is to contact our Intake team at 215-567-1111 ext. 400. (Please note that due to call volume, staff is not always immediately available to take your call. We ask that you leave your information with the best time to contact you.)

During this call, we will gather basic information to determine whether TCP is an appropriate fit for your needs. We will also discuss payment options at this time.

You can fill out the Self-Screening Questionnaire  below to gather some preliminary information about whether our services are appropriate for your needs.

The next step is to schedule an appointment to meet with staff to complete intake. During this appointment, we’ll complete everything necessary for you to get started in therapy. This appointment normally lasts 1.5 hours.

Please be aware, there may be circumstances that necessitate a referral to other resources for treatment. In these situations, our Intake team will discuss the rationale and alternate treatment options for you.

Payment & Fees

Part of the Therapy Center of Philadelphia’s mission is to make therapy more accessible. Therefore, all of our services are offered at a discount, using a sliding fee scale. The fee you will pay is based on your income and number of dependents and is established at the time of your intake. It will be reassessed annually unless your circumstances change. We do not offer free therapy services.


TCP accepts: AETNA Student Health insurance and Penn Behavioral Health Insurance. Please let the intake team know if you have this insurance when you call. (We are currently unable to accept new clients using Penn Behavioral Health)

TCP does not accept payment from any other insurance companies. However, we can provide you with receipts that may be submitted to your insurance provider along with your application for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

Range of Prices

$35-$125 for Individual and Couples Psychotherapy
$20-$70 for Group Therapy
Your established rate + $25 for Intakes

Payment Methods

Payment in full is required at the time that therapy services are provided. Payment may be made by cash or check at the TCP office immediately prior to meeting with your therapist. Credit card payments are not currently being accepted, but will be in the near future!
